This picture made by Russian artist Valentin Aleksandrovich Serov (1865-1911) in 1910 - Curtain design for Nikolai Rimski-Korsakov's ballet "Sheherezade" for Sergei Diaghilev's "Russian seasons" for trips across Europe was bought by Mstislav Rostropovich (1927-2007) and Galina Vishnevskaya (1926-2012) in auction in Paris when they did not know that this painting was done by Valentin Serov. Authorship was revealed during restoration works.
