Description

These are 2 very rare antique Arabian saker falcon Hawk Perch block carved display stands. Handcrafted in hard wood & each having an iron spike, to place outside in the ground. Bought from out of a fine stately country home in Kent.

The perches originally of Arabian origin. Highly sort after by falconry museums & collectors.

Composed of slender hard wood turned poles & mounted by a flat perch on the top. They each have their own different turned carved wood designs. Originally there would of been leather on the perch tops though the leather has totally worn away. You can see brass studs on one of the perches. The top is flat to maintain hygienic & comfort for the falcon.

Our falconry expert friend in Spain found in an falconry book a hand painted picture done by the artist Mark Upton depicting very similar we enclose the photography picture from the book. The book is not included in this listing.
