This is one page of the Codex Manesse or Grosse Heidelberger Liederhandschrift (Heidelberg, University Library, Cod. Germ. 848) is illuminated manuscript. It was made between 1305 and 1340 in Zurich on behalf of the Manesse family. The copy was possibly executed by Johannes Hadlaub. The manuscript was decorated with 138 miniatures, showing chivalrous scenes about the knights who star in the poems of the text.
With many thanks to Francisco Javier Rodríguez Viñuelas.
