Opened 27 July 2014 and dediсated ot Vitebsk Prince, Krevskiy Prince, Great Prince of Lithuania Olgerd. He ruled Vitebsk town 25 years (from 1320 to 1345).

Olgerd, son of Greta Prince Gediminus, in 1318 married to Maria, daughter of Vitebsk Prince Yaroslava. In 1320 Vitebsk peacefully was incldued in the composition of the Great Lithuanian Princedom. In 1345 Olgerd beсame the Great Prince of Lithuania.

Governor of Vitebsk Region A.N.Kosnits and Mayor of Vitebsk town A.P.Nikolaikin opened the monument. Weight of monument – 3,5 tonns, height – almost 4 meters.
