China, 18th / 19th century

a representation of an Indian ruler dressed with a turban, blue robe, katar in his belt and elaborate Indian jewels. The red balcony in the foreground and facial characteristics of the falconer are painted with Chinese elements; all painted in reverse on glass with possibly an original Chinese gilt wood frame made in a Western fashion
